Germany contributes $2.2 million for Sa’adah conflict

Germany donated ¥2.2 million directly to international aid organizations , in hope of alleviating the suffering in Sa’adah, stated a press release issued by the Germany Embassy in Yemen today.

There is an estimated 90,000 displaced civilians facing extreme insecurity in Sa’adah city, Sa’adah governorate as a whole and parts of Al-jawf governorate. The International Red Cross, the UK Refugee Organization UNHCR and the World Food Program have each received $70,000 by the German Government to enable them to deliver humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict.
